Yasuko Miyazaki
Professional Triathlete
Since she was a child, Yasuko M has been actively involved in sports such as rubber baseball, track and field, and diving board/high diving. Yasuko joined a triathlon club as soon as she entered college in 1996. When she was a senior, she placed 3rd in the Japan Student Championship, and she was selected as the Japanese representative for Universiade. In 2002, she switched from short distance to long distance, and she entered various adventure races thereafter. As the representative of the Japanese team, Yasuko participated in the SALOMON X-Adventure and the Mildseven Outdoor Quest.
From 2002 to 2007, she participated in the Ironman World Championship Hawaii, the EXTERA World Championship Maui for seven consecutive years. She currently holds a teaching license in health and physical education at the middle and high school level. She is also an intermediate level instructor certified by the Japan Triathlon Union and a certified instructor of the Japan Nordic Walking Association. She has a BA from Nihon University Humanities and Sciences(2002). |
